How do we know Satan didn't write the Bible? Isn't it within his power to trick us that way, even including prophesy?

Satan is a liar and the father of all lies. God tells us that We should test the prophets, anyone that denies the Divinity of Christ is a messenger for Satan.
The Bible speaks the truth while giving all glory to God. Satan cannot give glory to God, he wants the glory for himself.
The Book of Enoch speaks of the war between Satan and God over who can influence more humans. Satan was a very vain Angel. He thought he should be better than the rest and rebelled against God for control of the earth.

I'm actually not too interested in creationism although I certainly do believe in a Creator. I'm sure you can tell the difference. As for your statement about the bible and logic or intelligence, I have to disagree. Granted wisdom is not the same as these things but it does rest upon them. Surely you don't think that being wise is being illogical and stupid? Actually, logic and intelligence are not much good if not used wisely. This is one of the painful lessons of Nazi Germany. So no, logic and intelligence are not tricks of Satan. They are good gifts from God. I know this won't convince you at all that the bible is true. I respect your right to challenge it. But it really isn't fair to just bash it as if it were written specifically to attack you. Neither God nor the bible are your enemies. I just wish I could get you to see that. peace

Satan can trick us and make us think God is talking to us. But no, Satan wouldn't have written the Bible. After all, the Ten Commandments are in there. And they are everything Satan is against.

There is no Satan, there is no Hell(except here, think about it a bit, it'll make sense) Satan's jus a "boogeyman" created by MAN to spook people into acting the way the churches and governments want(go to work, pay ur taxes, go to church, give money to church), but if there had to be a Satan, it would be money and the people who take all of it and want the world to believe it can't function without it. So there u have it...Satan=Money, and Hell=Earth. So yeah, I guess ur right, he can trick us, write to us, and make us think delusional thoughts like there's some pitchfork-wielding horned maniac playing pranks on us.

Yes Satan can do these things.God gives people a strong delusion that they believe a lie if they have not a love for the truth.
That is how the word of God can and does get wrongly interpreted.Knowing what the fruits of the Holy Spirit are is how not to be deceived.Myself I follow the disciples writings that were with Jesus and mainly St.John because his message is of
love.

It would go against the nature of an all powerful god who loves man and desires fellowship with him to allow his word to be changed, you can bet the bible has been God inspired and the fundamental truths are accurate. Satan has other religions and many things in this life to distract and trick us. Jesus is the true Way.

I love to study all prophesy! Soon Satin will claim to be Jesus to all the world, and he will even Perform many of the Miricles that Jesus has done!!!! And alot of people will buy into this lie!
Remeber that Satin is out to : Kill, Steal , and Destroy! If you are saved, and you have been coverd by the Blood of Jesus, Satin will try, but he will never win!!!!! The key is to stay faithful to God always and Forever! God is Love! Satin is Everything else!
As far as Satin Writing the bible: Well he is not that Clever at all! Jesus came to Fullfill the OT and he died on the Cross for all of our sin, I dont think that Satin is Man, nor Spirit enough to Die and Be tortured for anyone...... The only way that anyone would die for All of Man Kind, is out of 100% LOVE satin cant LOVE!

The Angel of Darkness can come disguised as the Angel of Light. This is the teaching of the wisest of the Church Fathers and Desert Fathers. As to the bible, No. What is in the bible was decided by a whole body of the Church and whenever everyone in all places agree, then it is from God, because the Holy Spirit leads the church.

He is a deceiver and has deceived many. However God has show that the Bible was written at His inspiration by giving power to those He cause to write it to do things no man of devil can do. This was abundantly shown in Jesus who also was with out sin. ON top of this He has given His people the Spirit of truth to testify to us that His Word is true. and God has shown the integrity of His Word by fulfilling it. Those who belong to the Great Shepherd know His voice.

How do you know that the original "bible" didn't get lost in translation and everything you know is made up from someone in a translation to english? Or even if the bible isn't just like reading Harry Potter and worshiping everything Ron and Hagrid say? Stupid religion if you ask me because we will all die and god is a scare tactic to cope with liev to live it to the fullest!
