Rolling works well and I like to do this with smaller items. for the bigger items like shirts and pants, I tend to let them take up as much flat space aspossible and fold at the edges of the suitcase. If you are an average size guy, a shirt will fit perfectly folded in two when spread over the whole suitcase.

Hi....I have found out from years of travel......its' better to roll the clothes that can be rolled.....for pants......I fold them inside seam to outside seam....and roll from top down. If you start at the bottom of pant legs.......when you unfold, the legs will turn up.....You will find less wrinkleing doing it this way....

i am in the military and the best way to pack is to roll your Clo
thes because you can get so much more in the suitcase.
take it from a roll expert.

I found out the hard way that rolling doesn't work for all fabrics. Learned my lesson :-(
