You shouldn't play games in relationships...even at the beginning. You should probably look inside yourself and question why you feel the need to play hard to get. What is it about yourself that you feel you cannot show to the world? I think playing hard to get is a form of insecurity. There ARE women who are hard to get but they aren't playing. Most likely they are confident, intelligent women who have respect for themselves. They ARE hard to get because they won't settle for anything less than the best. Don't fake it honey. Be yourself and show tenderness and warmth. Like attracts like.

You are referring to "the thrill of the chase" or "the challenge". It isn't about "games", don't let these people fool you. It is about the way guys & girls are "wired" & we happen to be wired very differently from one another.
These first two books are written by women. I've read them cover-to-cover, and I can attest, THESE PRINCIPLES WORK LIKE A CHARM! The first title should not be taken in its literal sense. I've skimmed through the third book, which also has some good perspectives from men as well. I would definitely suggest putting these on your "MUST" list.
If I had read these books at your age, WOW!
In other words, "If I knew then , what I know now!"

Don't "play." Let him know that you like to spend time with him, but you have a busy life and aren't going to rearrange your schedule just for him. If he asks you to do something last minute, tell him you're sorry, today won't work, but you'd like to hang out another time. If you have plans with friends, tell him that. Be you, live your life, and let him realize that he's lucky to be a part of it!
