Some ideas:
* Silent auction/Live auction (with things donated from local merchants and families)
* Thrift Shop/Yard Sale (Have families sell items at the school one day where a portion of the proceeds go to the school).
* Parents night out. (Have parents drop off their kids for a nominal fee and show the kids a movie with popcorn and drinks).
* Fun Fair (Cake walk, carnival games, food, bake sale)
* Bake Sale
* Talent Show
* Have a dinner outing (where you get a local restaurant to donate a portion of the proceeds to the school. On one given day when anyone from the school shows up with a flyer your school gets a portion of profits).

A good chili feed or spaghetti dinner. If possible to have it before a concert or school play, so many people love not having to cook on nights like this. Our school did a dinner and show night, the kids actually served dinner, while everyone enjoyed a musical variety show, the tickets sold out and all of the food was donated by local grocers and restaurants.

What about putting together a recipe book - particularly with quick, easy to make, healthy meals for kids. I'm sure each parent has a tried and tested recipe they would like to share and it may encourage those parents who feed their kids rubbish to try cooking proper meals. It should be easy enough to print off what with all the computer equipment that is available in schools and libraries.
Another thing a group I was involved with once got recipes printed onto tea-towels. It worked really well as we got sponsorship from local businesses to do this.

When my children were little we had a sponsored bounce, the kids were all given turns on the castle and bounced, they sponsored them per time not per bounce. Many places will reduce the cost of the hire of the castle as it is for Charity. You could have a fancy dress day with a theme and the kids have to pay to wear the fancy clothes, TV ads are always a good theme to have!!

There is no way to make a lot of money fast...you will just have to keep doing small projects and hope that someone will help. Have car washes, bake sales, and the like. Hope this helps.
