at home or can they just sit there and freely drink?

I say it again we need to bann drinking.

They can only give you tests if you're on probation or if its an order of the court. But if they have 2 in 6 months maybe its not so wise to be drinking at all. If they have too get a DD.

In my state NC if you are on house arrest then you are also supposed to be in a treatment program so alot of times they will do the random alcohol and drug tests at the treatment progams. Failing the treatment program will automatically violate you and you will have to go to jail or they may extend their house arrest.

In West Virgimia you can not drink.Cant even have it in your house.And no one else can come to your home and drink .If they come and check and there is then you can go to jail.And yes they can do a breathalyzer..

As long as they aren't driving they can do whatever they want AS LONG AS THE TERMS OF THEIR HOUSE ARREST ALLOW DRINKING
