i have told her but she doesnt seem to understand how much i like him she just seems intrested in if he looks at her or not but i no for a fact he likes me better than her!!

Go ask him out. If he like you more than he likes your friend then he will probably say yes. but if you think it will ruin your relationship with your frined, then forget about the guy. remember friends will always be there for you and boyfriends come and go.

The only "fact" that you can know if someone likes you better than someone else, is if they tell you out of their own mouth, if they haven't don't believe rumors or anything else because they can and will lead you astray. You and her are best friends, and now you're in competition for this guy? I went through this twice, me and my best friend liked a guy that was a grade and a year higher than us, since we both liked him, we never made a move just ignored him and eventually those feelings went away, until she moved away, we weren't friends, and I started liking him again. My other best friend and my other best friend liked the same guy too, I swore he liked one more than the other and they both started competing for him....it turned out that he didn't like either...though he always talked to one and made an effort to say hello..........he wanted another girl.....it was sad but it saved their friendship...we never compete over guys with our friends. Because friends are more important.....don't let this guy come in between you two...if you do you'lll lose her. And end up with someone that may not even be with as long as she has. It's not worth it, trust me babe. Good luck sweetie with whatever you decide.

Well if your sure he likes you, what have you got to worry about?
Just try and be kind to your friend because she'll be the hurt 1 and guys come and go but she could be there in years to come. There really is no point falling out over a guy, so silly.

The best thing you could do is not Argue with her cause you will loose a friend ship, just let it go , tell the guy how you feel and if he likes you more he will explain to your friend how it is,
Friends usually say they like the same guy because there jealous.

Then if you know for a fact that he likes you better than your best friend don't worry about what she thinks as he will make his move on you.
And when he does, if your best friend truly is your best friend, she will back off.

Trust me on this one - let him go. Friends are more important than boyfriends, and 10 years from now, heck, even just another year from now, I promise he won't be blip on your radar! But you'll still be best friends with your girl friend.
