Try invoking a scan of your hard drive:

Click Start then Run and type cmd and press OK.
You should be at a Command Prompt with a black background.
Type this exactly (including spaces):
chkdsk c: /r

You might have to reboot to have it complete.
That will run a full scan on your hard drive and will hopefully get rid of that error.

That will happen if you unplug it without shutting the computer down normally. I am unfamiliar with what operating system you are using, but you should be shutting it down normally and not pulling the plug. (Though I do this on a number of occasions)

It's really nothing to be worried about if you did unplug the computer. It's just the softwares way of figuring out why it shut down so abruptly. It tests the Hard drive to see if there is something wrong with the hard drive.

If, on the other hand, you did shut down the computer normally and that message keeps appearing, then you will want to take it back, because it does indicate something wrong with the Hard Drive that should not be happening after only 3 weeks of service.

With that error if you have a warranty i would return or try to get it repaired sounds like you have a bad Harddrive what is happening is that something might be corrupted and what the scan is trying to do is check for errors, but it is having an error itself so something might i have gotten corrupted.
