If the frame is intended as the present, a nice landscape portrait, can be easily replaced or used for art. If your looking for something more to give, how about framing a gift card to a local hardware store. If they need to fix anything in the house, or just need light bulbs, they'll appreciate the thought.

I saw this on HGTV the other day. Can't wait to try it.
1 take a pic of their pet's face, blow it up
2 trace it like 5 times
3 cut some of the pieces out to make a pattern
4 use pattern to cut some feaux wood wallpaper pieces
5 glue the pieces together on a board to recreate the pet's face.
6 frame your masterpiece.

Who is it for? If it's friends or relatives, have a picture of yourself with them enlarged (like at a birthday party or a beach, etc.) or if they are family or long-time friends a black and white of when all of you were younger.

How about a print of their house. Maybe the print of their house in black and white. It is a house warming.
