my partner needs to get a loan to buy a car. he has been unemployed for about a fortnight and has been offered a job but needs a car to get there. does anyone no of any good loan companies?

I think it depends on the loan amount and company. I got a 5k loan with northern rock and didn't have to provide any payslips at all. I think it is only loans upto or over 7.5k that you needed proof of income for them.

www.moneysupermarket.com is a good loan comparison site, i would however suggest that he gets the bus for a while to see if the job works out as you dont want another monthly commitment with no job if it doesnt

Start the job and save, otherwise you will be working for nothing as you will be earning money just to make the repayments. IT AINT WORTH GETTING INTO DEBT BEFORE YOU START WORK!
