A guy or woman being a single parent is hard but i think both can do it. Both have done a good job and both men and woman have done a bad job of being a single parent. Its the person not the sex. Now would I date a single male parent the answer is yes as I hope men will date a single female parent. No i'm not a single parent just a kid of a single parent

As far as whether or not to date a single parent?: Most women won't date them (unless they REALLY crave kids & don't mind foregoing having their own).

Easier to date a single guy w/out the added responsibility and baggage (dealing w the natural mom, etc.) that kids bring.

It can be admirable, the same way a single mom is admirable. It takes a lot of patience and work. At the same time it depends on the story behind it. If the person was married and left his spouse w/out giving the marriage a fair chance, then I lose respect, because that hurts the kid/s.

If they were never married, again I lose respect. Because while some see marriage as just a piece of paper, it helps protect the kids in the event of a breakup.

Being a single dad, is something you don't find much now a days, I would treat him with a lot of respect, but the same thing with a single mother, she wouldn't be treated any less or any better than the single father their own the same level. Though romantically, I would just prefer someone who didn't have a lot of baggage, I.E. kids. I am a virgin and I don't do guys who aren't either(my boyfriend is) so yah, that's just me though. Don't give up hope, there's someone who is out there willing to help out. Good luck babe!

I like guys who have kids because not only can you see how he treats his children, but you get to interact with his kids and if you hit it off with the kids then most of the time you're in. If I had a say so I would marry a single parent simply because there would be less drama and mind games. Hope this helps, good luck!

That he may not have been responsible in the past, but he made a mistake (unless he was married or with someone for a while) and by having a kid he is paying for it and showing at the same time that he has become a responsible person. If a man takes good care of his kid, and loves and respects you, it shouldn't make a difference unless he is hiding it.

It depends on the circumstances. Is he a deadbeat? How many kids does he have and by how many women? I know a woman whose coworker has a kid by eleven women, which is tacky. Has the man taken care of his childern? You know there are so many deadbeats? Has he had access, and if not has he tried to acquire it?
It varies from man to man. I am just mystifies as to how a man can just walk away from his responsibilities.

I think you shouldnt have made the mistake in the first place, but now that you did... It is very sweet and responsible, because most guys are the ones that abandon the baby. So good luck!
