I'm a christan and I wonder if you do what god tells you , and ask for things like for someone you care about to get to know him , and ask him to be in thier hearts, and getting married or haveing kids, I always pray for that , will he answear prayers , if it's not for worldly things. Any advice. Will he answear, if they are good right things, not like money, or marteril, things???I always pray every night for these things, I never ask him for selfish things, and do you think that asking to get married and haveing kids is selfish.

Hi,
I don't think that's wrong at all! As long as your not mentioning any person in particular, because sometimes what we want it's not the best for us. God knows everything and he knows what's the best for us.
And I'm sure that in Jesus name, He will bless you with someone very special that will make you very happy and you him.
God Bless

OK, Firstly chill - God has your future under control. He loves you and he has a great plan for your life.

Secondly keep pushing into him - focusing on the things he gives isn't going to help anything - I understand that these things are important but the big deal is the Giver not the gifts. I don't know if you're ok with Harry Potter but in the first movie there's this mirror that you can look in and see whatever it is that you want most. Harry spends ages gazing into it until Dumbledor finds him and covers it up telling him that sometimes people have wasted away their whole lives gazing into their dreams and not lived their real lives. I'm not recomending Harry Potter but this illutstrates the point. You need to stop worrying and live.

And here's how. The Bible tells us to seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness and everything (we need) will be added to us. I think God is opening up a chance for you to really learn about who he is and about worship of him. No really I think that is what God is saying to you right now.

I think he's offering you a chance to start an amazing adventure of a relationship with him. Check out Psalm 139. He knows you and he has a plan for your life that is more than you could ask or imagine... and it starts with him.

God will always answer your prayers, but as pointed out already, that doesn't mean the answer is always "yes."

Still, I'm sure it's very much to your credit that you have righteous desires. Maybe instead of asking for these big things, try to start asking God what you can do to help them happen. Maybe there are some things He wants you to do or learn first - and you can work on figuring out what some of those are now.

best wishes

We should always ask God what His will is according to what we pray for. Jesus gave an example when He said " Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.." in the Lord's prayer. As long as your prayer lines up with the plan and purpose that He has for your life He will grant it. It may not be that a certain man is for you, and it may very well be that He has a better partner for you down the road a bit. It is best to seek Him first and all these other things will come into your life as you stay on His path.

No, asking about getting married and kids in not selfish.

I would start by asking to meet a good man. Then doing things that may help you find a good man.

my very best to you and your endeavors

YDoncha_Blowme You can pick on me if you like. I have a master degree and enough faith for us both. Does it make you feel special and all warm inside to belittle others? You're special you are.

Well i used to pray for material things but was mad when i didnt get them. then my church had a service on praying, said pray for the things of god and he will provide all your needs. when you pray selfish prayers youre not letting god do his will, and when you pray for his will it will be done and all your needs will be provided

gettting married and having a family are alright, thats gods command, multiply and fill the earth, having a spouse isnt something selfish, god made it holy matrimony

i hope i helped

God asks us to pray for everything. It doesn't matter how large or how small the thing is. It is not wrong to pray for material things as long as you ask that His will be done.

Pray for Gods will to be accomplished in your life. Material things, marriage, kids are not for everybody. Be content and listen day to day in prayer and listen to what he wants you to do.

God always answers prayers. Sometimes the answers are not what we are expecting but he always answers , sometimes the answer might be a 'yes' and sometimes a 'no'. Sometimes God is silent about our prayers but everything in God's time not ours..
God Bless!!
