Shes 2 years old, we've had her for almost a year and ever sense we got her she's been throwing up!! We took her to the vet like 6 months ago and it cost us $600 for them to tell us she has some stomach thing and we had to give her medicine. it worked for a little while but then she started throwing up maybe once a week... then it was a couple times a week... and now its almost everyday. And its not because shes eating too fast or too much. She doesnt puke right after she eats either... she pukes in the middle of the day. Theres no whole food in there it looks like shes chewing it all up and shes not losing any weight. Does anyone else have this problem? And does anyone know how I can help her?? I really cant afford another trip to the vet. Im struggling enough as it is.

There are many possible causes for frequent vomiting. ome are relatively harmless and some are lethal. Since this has been going on for some time and kitty is still alive, her problem probably isn't lethal...
Others have made plausible suggestions. I can add food allergy to the list of possibilities.
Something else related to food allergies - do you feed her dry food? Dry foods are mostly grain and a cat's digestive system isn't meant to handle grains. Some cats can get by on dry food but others can't.
Here's a link to an outstanding site about feline nutrition and how to properly feed a cat. You might find the solution here: http://www.catinfo.org
Good luck!

my cat throws up all the time and its been since her first owners got her as a kitten. She is 10 years old now. sometimes its because she eats too fast but she throws up even when she didn't.
I have to feed her only a couple spoonfuls of food around 5 times a day. she has hard food available all day too but normally I would feed a cat soft food in the morning and evening with hard food available all day. But if she eats a normal cat's portion of food she usually throws up. but she also throws up even if I am feeding her little by little. And my cat is not losing weight either. She has always been at a healthy weight.
now, there is one product that seemed to make her throw up less times and its called Laxatone:
http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441778361&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302025585&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023690&bmUID=1169523573114&itemNo=0&Ntt=laxatone&In=All&previousText=laxatone&N=2
Its a paste that is malt flavored in a tube and you first feed the cat about an inch worth of it 3 days in a row and then once or twice a week. It is to prevent and eliminate hairballs but it may help with other things because I have read reviews from others on other stomach problems with their cats... I remember one reviewer said her cat eats plastic from plastic bags any chance she gets and the laxatone has helped her from getting sick... you may want to try that.
are you in the USA? if you have a Petsmart that has a Banfeld Veterinary clinic inside, see if you can afford one of their monthly payment pre-paid plans. The cheapest is $12 a month (it may be different from state to state). I do the $12 a month plan for one year and it included all her shots and I can go to the vet any time I want to without getting charged the $50 just to visit. Then I do the $28 a month plan the next year because it includes her shots and getting her teeth cleaned, since she throws up a lot I don't want her teeth to decay. then the next year I go back on the $12 a month plan again. there are a few other things included in teh plans anything not covered in the plan you get a 10% discount.
i just looked at their site and they have a location in the UK and Mexico too... if your interested:
http://www.banfield.net/health/owp.asp
the international link is at the bottom of the page.
its expensive to go to the vet but at least with the monthly plan you won't be shelling out a large amount of money at once since you can spread the charges out over the whole year.

I agree totally with Mick. Many cats are highly allergic to ANY grain in their food (not a natural food for cats anyway). Check out the webiste Mick suggests and I would switch her to a high quality canned food such as Natural Balance, Wellness, Lick Your Chops, etc. Innova Evo is an entirely grainless cat food too. I think it is a dry food and I don't know. You could look into that too.

Our cats threw up some weeks in the past. It hardly ever takes position, and that's this variety of chore to clean up! surprisingly at the same time as they insist on vomitting on the carpet! What we chanced on out become, we mixed various the canned food of their food bowls at the same time as it become nonetheless full of the different dry cat food. My husband mixed it properly jointly, reason he needed them to have some thing diverse once in a lengthy time period. The cats loved it, notwithstanding the challenge become that they had to dodge dropping for later (will be overnite). properly, the food were given moldy or some thing, so the cats had food poisoning. We had to clean up after them for per week earlier they recovered. If this isn't a difficulty your cat is dealing with, i imagine you should attempt different cat food, or perhaps, take your cat to the vet and clarify to them. What we did for our cats become we enable them out contained in the exterior for an afternoon and enable them chew on the grass. It facilitates them plenty and they were given extra effective speedier.

Just wanted to chime in about the food issue as well - Innova Evo is completely grain free if she happens to be picky and won't eat dry food. My parents tried several different brands of canned food for their cat and she just refused. If she must eat dry food (but I would agree to try and switch her to solely canned) Innova Evo (make sure it is Evo) is your best bet.

My cat did the same thing, He couldn't eat Meow Mix cat food it made him sick. I switched him to a hairball cat food from Walmart, then to Science Diet for sensitive stomachs and he is doing fine.
My cat wasn't gaining weight when he was eating Meow Mix. Now If I even attempt to switch back to a cheap brand he gets sick.

Try giving her different food, we use Iams and the vet said that was good for pets with stomach problems. Good luck!

I wonder if she might have a hairball she's trying to throw up?
Maybe give her some hair ball relief?
Also, try maybe feeding her two small meals a day instead of one.

I can't suggest anything to you, but you could go on internet to research this situation. You probably need to ask any vets online how to handle your situation. Hope this will help.
