I know of none that require blood sacrifice now. At one time human sacrifice was practiced. As people became more civilized animals were substituted. Now, I believe no religion still demands sacrifice of anything except your money.
The reason that religions practiced sacrificing living things is because life was the most precious thing they could think of, although gold and jewels were also sacrificed to the gods.
The strange thing is that the priests always sacrificed someone else, they never volunteered.

Hebrews 9:22. "And purely about all issues are through the regulation purged with blood; and with out shedding of blood isn't any remission." The sacrifice of goats, sheep and cattle turned right into a typology of the shortcoming of life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ at Calvary. He gave His existence so shall we stay ceaselessly with Him if we settle for His loose present of salvation. I have purely examine of two cases that God demanded the shedding of human blood and that become at the same time as Abraham become informed to sacrifice Isaac and the different become after Jephthah vowed that he would sacrifice the first element that met him after a conflict in which the Lord gave him the victory. Judges 11: 28-31. no matter if God made him stay as a lot as his vow is an argument of discussion because all of us understand the ten Commandments dictate tha we ought to continually no longer kill. this does no longer search for suggestion from with killing in conflict at the same time as the Israelites were protecting or conquering pagans. gatita_63109
