Be honest with him, but at the same time let him down easily.

If after only 2 months he is already telling you he loves you, then no matter what you do or say will make it easy for him. It will be painful, it will be hurtful and it will be sad. Best you can do is make it quick. Be assertive. Say this is not working out and be final. He will be upset, he might get angry, he might even cry (people like him do), but you need to make sure he knows it is over. Then walk away and cut him off. In the end, it is the most humane thing to do.

In my opinion, think of the dream scenario of how you would like to be let down; how you would feel if someone was a total d*** to you. Just be considerate and compassionate, even if they get mad.

I'm not gonna bash you, because it takes guts to break up with someone and tell them to their face exactly why (be prepared to answer that question). If you don't have an answer then remember just be compassionate but firm. I've found that if you are too gentle they will think you can be persuaded to reconsider.

So remember, compassionate, firm, considerate.

Good Luck,

You might say that the relationship is getting too serious too quickly, and you'd like to end it because you're not ready for that kind of relationship. Just be honest. People break up all the time, and there is nothing wrong with doing so.

Flip a coin. Heads you win. Tails he loses. If by some weird chance he wins the first toss, just play best 2 out of 3.

If you aren't direct and honest then you ARE a total dick. Just tell him your not really feeling it and that it is time to back off so you can each find someone who is gong to be a better fit.

Hi there, just tell him that you need a little time to yourself, your not sure where life is taking you right now and u want to be sure about things before your life moves on, tell him that you will still want to be friends with him, but have to take time out, tell him about the fun you have had with him and that you dont want to hurt him by having to have him to wait around for you,,,,,,,,, hopefully this will help you... good luck doll ...xxx

Just keep going out with him to be nice. Then get married. Then when you are both old and gray and dying, you can tell him "Dude, I never even liked you, I was just afraid to break up with you because I was afraid you'd think I was a dick."

I suggest telling the truth.
If you do, chances are you can still be friends, and... who knows? some day he might be what you're looking for!!
Life turns in unexpected ways!!
If he goes all crazy and acts up, he was really not worth it, and you are still ahead of the game

just tell the truth - if he values your feeling and claims he loves you so much then he will respect how you feel-- if he decides to spazz out on you and get crazy just grap a huge frying pan and buss him upside the head and he'll see some real stars and maybe he'll come to some agreement or just say well maybe I will just wait till she is ready.
