Attempted to install Service Pack 2 and it said Failed to Install clicked on the icon and it said Error Code: 0xD0000005 . When I rebooted it seems to have installed. I went back to update and the only thing left was IE 7 which I didn't want to install at this time anyway. Add/Remove Programs show Service Pack 2 and all the updates, but next to Service Pack 2 it shows no Mb...as if there is nothing there. I ran a couple of programs that show what is installed on your computer and it showed that Service Pack 2 is there. The windows security alert icon is in the system tray. When booting up the color of the progression bar changed color. There is a windows firewall and a popup blocker. My main concern is the failure to install in the update history. What's going on here? Should I leave well enough alone?

That is normal...the entry for SP2 in Add or Remove Programs does not have any size next to it. It would seem that SP2 has been successfully installed. Congrats!

Unless there is something specific that you can't do, then you should probably leave it alone.

Most microsoft updates break as many things as they fix (if you can even get them installed).
