There was an early heresy that the two were so different they could not have been the same person.

You'd think an omniscient god would have got it right the first time.

God in the Old Testament and God in the New Testament is the One True God. God does not change. It is His Divine Education makes the advancement in man's understanding and man's civilization.
The most recent Merssenger of God confirms:"All men have been created to carry out an ever-advancing civilization." Read the Holy Books on the Internet, you will discover the truth for yourself.

God has never changed His nature; He is One in the Old and the New testaments. The observation you make, and it is not unjustified, cannot be clarified in this narrow forum. I suggest you find some good books about how to read Scripture; you may also want to study the Bible with a qualified teacher. Ask a Priest/Minister/Rabbi for advise and you will be amazed at the depth of wisdom you may gain from such teachers. Go bravely into your studies - the Word awaits you in fullness and love!

In the old testament because of Adam and Eve man lived by the law (the Commandments), and was almost impossible for the man to do it all, because were sinners. They had to offer sacrifices for forgiveness. Most people couldn't be saved.
Then God paid the biggest sacrifice ever done for our forgiveness, He sacrificed His Son for us to rich our Salvation.
Know everyone who accepts Jesus as the Lord and savior can be saved.
But that doesn't mean you can sin all you want and still be saved, no, you have to follow the commandments and God's law, but you will be saved by your faith and not by your attitudes as a sinner.

God is Perfect!!!!! The OT all happend for a reason! The OT even Prophocies about a savior comming to save his people from Eternal death! The OT shows you how Imperfect the world is, as it still is to this day, only Much Worse! Jesus came to fullfill the OT in the NT, and he died on the cross to take the burdon of everyones sins!

Besides the People that were living in the OT, choose (as in this day) to live in Immoral sin, and to Blashpemy against God, However if you READ the OT, and Understand it... then you will see that God warned them all to Turn from thier Wiked ways... and they all Refused still!!!!!!

The reason why you think this is because you are not filled with the holy spirit, you have to be filled with it in order to Understand, and RIGHTFULLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF GOD!!! Other wise you distort the Bible, and all the Scriptures in it were INSPIRED BY GOD HIMSELF!!! bless you on your Journey, I hope that you will try to read and understand the Bible with a open Heart!

No.

In the old testament that is where the people were then; so God revealed himself in the way the people expected, and could understand.

Jesus was more spiritually evolved, and God was able to teach him higher spiritual truths than Moses could understand.

on my website; I use the analogy of a two year old and a 15 year old that asks about cars.

The Two Year old is told something simple like "You put gas in the car and go. then since the 15 year old has a higher level of awarenessl you might tell the 15 year old about the internal conbustion enginem transmissions, universal joints, etc.

Meaning that God teaches us spiritual truths according to our understanding.

Remember Jesus went nucking futs and busted up the coin changers in the Temple. That was Jesus showing God's jealousy and righteous anger.

Remember also that the New Testament only shows the Humanity of Jesus and not as much the omnipotent Father God.

Forgiving God??? Are you out of your mind???

In the New testament it is made very clear that this God created souls to go to heaven or hell! HE SET US UP!!!

It is written that JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED BEFORE THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE WORLD!
This means GOD SET HUMANITY UP!!!
That we are nothing but puppets that this God created knowing full well what the outcome for each person would be! KNOWING FULL WELL all the children that would suffer, all the women that would be abused and tortured! All the death this religion would bring!
This God knew it all and didn't care! WHY??? HE IS SADISTIC AND BLOODTHURSTY!!!
DON'T GIVE ME THIS CRAP THAT HE IS FORGIVING!!! THAT IS A TOTAL LIE!!!
TELL IT TO SOMEONE THAT DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE BIBLE GOD IS ALL ABOUT!! SOMEONE THAT NEVER READ THE BIBLE!!!

Well in the old testament, Abraham disobeyed God, had an affair with his wife maid at her bidding, and God still called him friend. There are many other examples like that. God is the same today yesterday and forever.
