I have a chinese pug and a schipperke and they both shed bad. What can I do to minimize the shedding?

Brush, brush, brush. It's all you can do. Dogs just shed.

Food is an important factor in shedding. The way I have found to minimize it is to slowly switch to a food that is not made from a lot of fillers like corn, wheat and barley. Wellness is a brand I use, but you should ask the pet store assistant for all the brands s/he recommends. It can reduce the coat quality and minimize shedding, as well as brushing and washing once or twice a month.

All dogs shed regardless on what you do:) You need to keep him brushed.. You could even use these Vitamins called Brewers Yeast:) They work for my pups:) The dont stop them from shedding they just dont shed as much:)

Keep the skin healthy and the coat well groomed, and use a product like "Lo Shed" (available through most vet's offices and larger pet shops) to help the dog retain healthy hair.

they make these rubber mitts with little nubs on them that you can run over your dogs coat. they work dry, or wet while in the bath and they do a great job removing dead hair! if you do it everyday, you should see a reduction in the amount of shedding. most dogs love it because it just feels like they are getting a massage. they have them at petco/petsmart or even places like walmart. a rubber dishglove will actually work similarly also! get it a little damp first and it will take off hair.(i suggest using these outside to minimize the mess!)

you can't really. or maybe you can heres what you do: brush there fur every day with the proper brush for abou 10-15 minutes that should minimize the shedding.

you can't really stop the shedding but you can give them daily hair brushes and add some oil to the diet and it will help with that and their skin

get a shedding brush and use it after you give the dogs a bath
