if i dyed my hair a blonde color then dye it back to auburn would it work?

what are you trying to accomplish? if you dye your hair too frequently especially if bleach is involved to get it blonde you are going to destroy your hair.

It depends on your natural hair color, if your hair will actually become blonde. Also, the auburn would probably not hold as well since you will have either colored or bleached underneath it. Why on earth would you want to do this??

Why would you need to dye it blonde first? Do you mean it's dyed blond now? If you go to a professional salon they can dye it any color you want. I wouldn't try to do it at home. It could come out pretty funky if you do.

as a hair dresser i would say you will probably get an orange color.......------yellow(blonde) and auburn(red) makes orange. It would be best to goto a salon and they can figure out a formula to create the color you want. Also they will most likely do a process called a pre-color which will prevent the icky orange you want to avoid.

dying your hair back to auburn will work fine if you do it right, dying your hair from blond to any other color would probably leave you with reddish highlights anyway

I dont think so, you will probably get a funky color and you are only supposed to dye your hair every 3 months or more.
