I know what the experts say, but I really beleive that it depends on the baby.

I know SO many babies that were ready to start solids at that time. They were just plain hungry all the time, and gobbled up the solids eagerly.

I think one of the biggest signs that a baby is ready to start trying some foods is when they express an interest in it (copying you at the dinner table, grabbing at your foods, opening their mouth at the sight of foods coming near them, etc.)

My doctor said 4-6 months depending on the baby.

All of my kids were on stage 1 baby foods at this time. It really depends on your child. I know at 4 months the pediatrition said was a good time to start them on stage 1. My kids were all eating saltine crackers and cheerios at 5 months. If you are having trouble deciding on when I would just ask your babies pediatrition.

Yes, you can start introducing solids at 4 months.
