Not all men are mean, but even the nicest guy can come across as a jerk if approached wrong.

I can not speak for all cultures. I know in some cultures for a man to show emotion and be kind and caring he is not viewed as being macho.
In America most men try to be kind and are caring individuals.
Sometimes though there are cliques in schools where the macho mentality is dominant. This takes place mostly in the jock or sports cliques but even there many atheletes refuse to fit the stereotype and are nice and decent guys.
I have heard from men who visit Australia are surprised to find that American men are in demand there because the typical Australian is very macho and drinking beer and surfing are seen as more important than their girlfriends.
Where are you from? And how are the men there mean to women?

Keep looking they're out there. Most think they have to put up some kind of a front to impress the girls or to not look sissy in front of the boys. Sometimes if you look past the front you'll see that they're not all bad, but beware of the ones that are all bad. If you do run across a truly bad one, don't just walk away run.

I was told by girls that I was TOO NICE?????? What the heck does that mean? My wife thinks I am nice and we have been happily married for 10 years. Keep looking nice guys are out there!

maybe youre just attracted to the wrong types of guys. most time, we are drwan to people who reflect our own personalites, but that isnt always the case becasue my bf and i are sooo opposite. id say look at where you meet these guys, how educated are they etc.. find a common ground in why yuo get drwan to them and then just stay away from whatever those characteristics are. ther ARE good guys out there, dont give up- just be more selective in who you let have your attention!

I cannot imagine why. Where are you looking? I have met great guys at work, in college, hell even in my neighborhood while jogging. Perhaps it is the men you are choosing to meet.
