The doctors keep telling me to monitor what she eats and when and where she throws up but nothing seems to match. She often gets worse at night while she's sleeping!

I also have a sickly kid. He is 6 and was sick a lot when he was around age 2-4. He is 6 almost 7 now and weighs in at 29lbs!!!! When they are that small there immune system isn't very strong. He still gets more sick than most kids but not as bad as before!! Make sure though when she is not sick that she is eating all the right foods fruits and veggies, and when she is sick make sure she is getting enough fluids, dehydration can set in very quickly on such a tiny child. My son has been hospitalized twice for dehydration. Make sure she is in a smoke free environment ALL THE TIME!!! With asthma smoke in the home or vehicles is very dangerous and can make them quite sick. Buy some humidifiers and air purifiers for her bed room and if you have any pets keep them out of her sleeping area. Maybe have her checked for food allergies they can do strange things, and if she is in a daycare make sure it is a clean smoke free home.

She may have some type of hereditary deficiency in her immune system. These types of problems can take time to diagnose because there are many possible causes. She should to see an immunologist that specializes in this sort of thing (if she hasn't already).

One of the more common treatable problems that causes immune deficiency is due to something wrong with immunoglobulin that is needed to kill infections. Several forms of immunoglobulin are available by injection, and something like this might boost her immunity for a month or two.

Have the doctors tested your daughter for Celiac Disease? This is an auto-immune disease that damages the intestines. It is caused by an allergic reaction to certain proteins in wheat, rye and barley called gluten/gliadin. This condition if very common, yet it is rarely tested for because doctors are not aware of it. Treatment consists of avoiding all sources of gluten/gliadin in the diet.

Best wishes and good luck.

I would say to take her to a specialist. Probably need to take her to an immunologist.
My 18 month old niece has an immune disorder. We have to make sure that everything is clean, and we have to avoid public places in order to keep her from being sick.

Take her to a specialist and get some blood work done - specifically for neutrophil, granulocyte, and luekocite levels.

Best wishes
