Caffeine has a half-life of 3 to 4 hours in a healthy adult. Coke has about 34 mg to start with. This means half of the caffeine you drank, or 17 mg, will still be in your system 3 to 4 hours later.

Caffeine is metabolized chiefly in the liver and excreted in the urine as 1-methyluric acid and 1-methylxanthine, with 10% of a given dose excreted unchanged.

The elimination half-life of normal doses (1 can of Coke for example) is 3 to 6 hours. This means that half of the caffeine will be gone from your body within 3 to 6 hours. 97% of the caffeine will be gone within five half-lives (in other words within 15-30 hours).

in my personal experience, it really depends on your metabolism. personally, when i drink coke in the afternoon at about 3 to 5 pm, i have a hard time sleeping at night. maybe its because my body hasn't worn off the effects of caffeine yet.
