Dogs

It really depends. Dogs can act sweet, submissive, and very affectionate. They can be so friendly that they knock you over in their exuberance. They can run up to you when you come home and smother you with affectionate licking.

But humans have the ability to really care for others. Both dogs and humans are capable of sacrificing something for others -- for example, a dog can give its life trying to protect you from a bear. But dogs are only able to sacrifice on a whim -- they are not capable of sacrificing something of theirs after putting a lot of thought into it, because they're animals with a far simpler mind. A human, on the other hand, can think about something in advance, and then lovingly choose to sacrifice something of theirs for you. In that way, humans are definitely "nicer".

You can have nice people and nice dogs, or you can have mean people and mean dogs. Sometimes a friendly dog is nicer than a mean person, and vice versa. But as far as having the capability to be truly loving through actions and thoughts, humans definitely win.

Dogs. Unconditional love, baby! If I had to pick between human or canine companionship, I'm going with the dogs!

I have three teenage children and one little Chihuahua. I love my children dearly, BUT, My dog doesn't get upset when her favorite shirt isn't clean, she doesn't complain if her car is not running right and she spent all her money and can't get it to the shop, she doesn't whine when I want to watch something other than MTV, she is very content with the same meal everyday, and she is always so happy to see me. :-)

I think dogs are way nicer and more trustworthy. Sometimes they even smell better than people.
