I want to tell him but I don't want to make a fool of myself because I really am in love with him. But how do I know if he really love me for me.

The sooner you find out, the better it will be.
You need to ask him, straight out. Find out from the horses' mouth so to speak.
If he is not the one, you should know now before you invest your life in him.
If he is, he will tell you and the rest is building trust. If you don't trust each other, it will not work.

Get your friends to ask him questions about you when your not around and then they can tell you what he said. And your friends can act like they are mad at you when they ask him by saying" gosh so and so is getting on my nerves. what about you?"
