Matthew 5:27-28 "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

This verse clearly applies to the men only. One should not assume it applies to women also because that would be adding to the scripture. Is it a sin for women to have physical desires for various men? If so, please tell us where the bible says it specifically.

There are a multitude of Scriptural sources in the NT that prohibit lust, and aside from the Matthew 5 verses you quote above, they are all gender-neutral; in other words, they apply to men AND women. Here's one of them:

1 Thes. 4:3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.

Here is a news flash for you.

The original sin was NOT SEX!!

The reason the religion has made sex the number one sin is because it is the second strongest desire that we have! The number one desire being the will to live!!
Given how vital sex is to our continued existance it is necessary for that desire to not have deminished as we evolved! So SEX is natural! SEX is good! Not everyone does it, but everyone should!!! Yea a George Micheal referance but hey it is true!

Now as for sin let's get something straight!
The original sin in the bible was what?
THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL!!!

What no Christian stops to think about is WHAT WOULD WE BE WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL???

The verse does have a masculine pronoun (the word translated "his" heart) but a proper exegesis would lead you to conclude that the truth underlying Jesus' teaching applies equally to eather gender.

There is an often misunderstood point in Greek discussions of "man." I cite 2 words from the Greek language in which the New Testament was written. First, 'anthropos,' is one of two words commonly translated "man" (the other means more precisely, male) but often INCLUDES women, especially when it is used in a plural form. The second word, 'adelphos,' is commonly rendered "brother" but is also inclusive of gender, particularly in the plural.

The New Testament is NOT an exclusively masculine text as has been claimed many times over the centuries. Many modern translations are beginning to more accurately render the text in gender inclusive terms, replacing the earlier readings with ones that more accurately reflect the inclusive nature of the original language.

Dictionary definitions:

anthropos (used 550 times in the New Testament) - human being, person; humankind, people; man, husband; used of human beings in contrast to animals or deity; in some contexts it is used of male/husband in contrast to female/wife. “The Son of Man” is an OT phrase usually meaning “human being,” that in the NT is used almost exclusively as a messianic title (see Da 7:13), emphasizing Jesus' humanity. “The outer person” is the corporeal body in contrast to “the inner (or hidden) person” of the spirit

adelphos (used 343 times) - brother, fellow countryman, neighbor (often inclusive in gender); by extension a fellow believer in the family of faith; in the plural “brothers” regularly refers to men and women

Take all of Ezekiel's chapter's on the judgment God brings upon the Jews because they lusted after other gods. They are compared with women. Are you trying to find a way out so that your sin is smaller or what?

Human beings have natural desires of sexual lust, so there is no sin associated with a natural desire for procreation..Regardless of what it says in the "bible"-the bible was made by man for man to control every aspect of mankind, so don't fall into the religious trap-because it has the capability to enslave you,that is if you let it..

ok... wellby that reasoning we women aren't free from England yet either, because the Declaration of Independence only speaks of men:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

and we can never be president as the Constitution says:

"Section. 1. The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows...The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be increased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them.
Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation: — "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

or be tried for a crime:

"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence."

so you decide how you want to read that passage..

yes...

it doesnt apply to men only where does it say that?

what if a woman lusts over another woman?

what you just copy/pasted...

note: ANYONE. not man.

then again it also says a man whos genitals are crushed can not be admitted to the congregation, and other bizzare stuff.

most things in the bible refer to men not women. at the time of the writings, women were extremely inferior to men.

If you feel guilty doing it then it probably is.

And there are many scriptures about lustful women.

See Ezekiel 22. It's a story about prostitutes. That's the story "Sho nuff" is referring to.

The bible doesn't need to say every last thing specifically. You're a smart, capable person, you can figure it out - that lust in general from guys or girls (that's not towards a spouse) is a bad idea.
