Everything else I've tried seems to make my hair appear like it has gel in it, makes it greasy or it wears off in a few hours. I tried protein sprays, (which take days to wash it all out) that frizz ease stuff, citri shine frizz reduction sprays and gels, the kiddie stuff for tangles to try and prevent me from ripping my hair out, that new breakage defense system leave in conditioner by pantene-pro v, wehich works but the next day its back to its old dry and frizzy self. I also have been trying to brush my hair less often to try and prevent breakage...but I don't have much of a choice when I am getting ready to go out. I also just got it cut to my sholders so I could try and start over. It was so long (down to the middle of my back) and nothing seeems to work...help!

Well cutting your hair is a good start but what you need is a really thick conditioner. I've used something called cholesterol, its a pretty light yellow color and comes in a tub. You can usually find it in the black hair product in a store (walmart, kmart, cvs). Wash your hair once, that's all your hair needs, then wring out some of the water and apply the cholesterol on it, you don't have to worry about using too much because its really thick. Then clip your hair up and wrap a plastic bag over your hair. Then let sit for about a half hour. The heat from your scalp will help to really condition your hair. Afterward just rinse it out and air dry, if your afraid of frizziness, make your hair into a braid. This should pull more moisture into your hair, but you have to really careful with your hair because its soo fragile. Try to drink plenty of water, this helps your hair out too. Also eat some nuts or avocado, the good fat in this will help your hair become stronger and more healthy. Also don't wash your hair everyday, try like every 2-3 days, your hair needs those oils.
Good luck!

Well, I have an olive oil shampoo that works quite well. The best thing I can recommend is the Dove Express Treatment conditioner. There are three types, and Asda have an offer on at the moment for 2 for £5. They are worth the money, and if you use the split end one a few times a week with the shampoo, your split ends/frays aren't so bad. My home made recipes aren't great, but maybe coconut oil? It also works quite well. But the best thing would have to be the Dove conditioners:D Hope your haiir repairs soon:) x x x

make sure you drink plenty of water so it works from the inside out and do you have thyroid problems because it will cause problems with the hair.alo use biolage shampoo with hydrating for the hair and also their conditioner. be careful after you wash it not to tear and stretch the hair and cut it about an inch or 1/2 inch every 6 weeks.

When you got your hair cut did it get all the split ends off? You really need for those to be gone. Also, it makes a difference as to where you live and the weather conditions as to how your hair reacts. Get with a hair salon stylist to get some really good instruction as what to do now.
Good luck.
