If you may have cancer and will want more kids see a specialist and get your eggs frozen. As for dealing with cancer you need to take it one day at a time but remember that right now you are lucky to be alive. Think of all the people who already have cancer but are facing a losing battle. You are alive and getting it treated if you have it so be thankful for what you DO have. Remember life goes on so make the most of what you have.

Well I cope with it by not stressing out about it, I mean everyday I live my life as best as I can even if I am not feeling well I still go out and try to help others or improve the lives of others. I dont mean go out and save the world but helping others seems to lighten my days, plus figure out something you may like to do like I take pottery classes and do some wheel throwing I was not the best at first but after getting a hang of it, it was fun and you get to socialize or hang with others. Also what I did is I looked for a social group with people that was mainly for cancer patients so time after time we do things, so go out and experience life.
Also the children part have as many kids as you want its not selfish at all by bringing more life into the world your bringing a part of you into the world and nothing can be as happy as having a baby in your life no matter the struggles when they get to be teens.

Cancer and cancer treatment doesn't always cause infertility. My cousin's daughter had kidney cancer when she was 2-1/2 and just became a mom for the first time on December 5. They weren't sure if she would be able to get pregnant after 18 months of chemo and radiation, but she and new daughter and doing great!

I just found out about 4hrs ago that there is a mass on my left lung and I don't go for the ct scan for two weeks. I have no idea if it's cancer but I'm scared, very scared. I have no idea how to cope if it is. I guess you can only take it day by day. Easy to say don't worry till you have to worry but I can't help it. I hope and pray that both of us will have good news at the end of the day. It may help to know that someone else is feeling the same as you. God Bless

Most cancer's now day's are treatable. ( Cancer centers of America )..The best and cheapest thing to do is catch any, types of cancer in there early stages. This makes them faster to beat and cheaper to fight for everybody.( Preventive screening )
With the advance imaging technology out-there today we can either start using it or throw it in the trash. ( Cause what's the point )

Wanting children is great , but if its a cancerous issue , You will want to be healthy for the onbes you already have. Adoption is always there, and so many kids need homes , it would be a wonderful thing to do

That is not selfish of you. Try to find a support group of some sort - maybe your doctor can lead you in the right direction. Good luck and my prayers are with you :)

All I can say to this is that Im sorry for what you are facing. At one time or another we all have to face our own mortality-some depending how you look at it-maybe lucky enough to be prepared. Just know this God will be with you in each step and hHe will be there for your children.Spend time in a positive way. May God Bless and comfort you.
