Homecoming is an annual event at the high school that involves a football game, sometimes a parade, and a dance in the evening.
If it's girls talking about it, it's probably the dance. Homecoming is a lot like Prom (if you've heard of this) and it's a really big deal to some young people. Many of the girls go out and buy a new, fancy dress and some will get their hair done professionally for the night.
Getting asked or asking someone to Homecoming is always something the girls will talk about a lot.
On the night of the dance, the guy usually bring a corsage for his date and sometimes groups of friends will rent a limo or go out to dinner before or after the dance.

its a dance. ur highschool has a dance were ppl go and listne to muic, but since its highschool, they also get drunk
