Whether through fame or infamy a person can gain noterioty, a vestage alone will never suffice, one must put forth an effort they must preform a personality or else they go unknow. Whether your the village whore or the girl nextdoor it makes no difference, for we are on yahoo and your probably lying anyway.

Well there is no reason to lie to a bunch of strangers is there?
I mean, who is trying to impress a bunch of people they will never meet who live hundreds/thousands of miles away?

Part if it is lack of communication. Women don't have support and empowerment groups over there so any idea for a rebellion would have a hard time cultivating. Another part I believe is that they do fear the physical abuse, I know a lot of us here are guys and might find it hard to see where their coming from but lets think back to when we we're kids and just as vulnerable to physical abuse as women there are. Lastly I think they are raised to believe in it.

The ego gratification which comes from lying to a "room" full of strangers is probably less than the sense of fulfillment one gains from having helped another person, albeit, anonymously, don't You think?
