Yup, here's a few scriptures to be going on with my friend:

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 :- "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body".

2 Corinthians 7:1 :- "...dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

Ephesians 5:3 :- "But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people".

Colossians 3:1-5 :- "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry".

There's just a few to be going on with, but there are many more. If you need further help please feel free to email me.

God bless, Pete.

Obviously watching porn is not wrong. Anyone with half a brain and some common sense knows that. There are a lot of 'Christians' out there who go to church and get their kids baptised etc so that they can get them into certain schools etc. These are the same people who watch porn on their expensive computers and start fights down the pub. I'd love to know the % of 'Christians' who watch porn. It would just be another thing that backs up the hypocrisy of the majority of the people who pretend to believe in it.

Yeah, it is...

The bible says that if you lust after someone else it is sinful. It's in there a lot of places (I'm not good enough to give you a verse), but one of them basically says you should "gauge your eyes out" if they cause you to sin. You can make scripture read anyway that you would like it to, but you should REALLY let your heart tell you what's right. The Holy Spirit, which is in you, is there to guide you and the fact that you even question it is Him at work.

Plus, it's addictive and is definetly not something to be proud of; just do your best to avoid it. Everyone stumbles and sometimes they even fall...don't be ashamed of yourself because God expects you to fail sometimes.

God Bless!

As with most modern religions, Christianity it very big on suppressing base desires. By the book, The Bible, there are many suggestions that sex is not for leisure. Certainly conventional wisdom states that Christianity is anti-porn. It is also against many other things that our society says is O.K. I believe you would be hard pressed to find a sect of any major religion that will O.K. a love for porn.

If you are only watching it what really matters is the affect on your mind and conscience - you could turn into a real pervert and end up listed as a sex pest or child molester. If you know and feel it is incorrect behaviour then it is wrong. As to Christians they all do wrong things then repent after and say its all okay now!

Porn's like football.. it's more fun playing than watching. Personally what I find offensive is that the mainstream porn industry has commercialised sex. Also some religious respondents would have more credibility were they to act against the 'pornography' of starvation, poverty, disease, torture, killing and injustice which are much more grievous and afflicting to humanity.

Jesus deals with that one:

Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Anything, such as porn, which is watched to build sexual desires is considered by God to be wrong. It counts as "adultery" because the person watching that is given the actress (or actors) thoughts, emotions and desires that should be limited to their spouse. Evey person who "cheats" in a marriage or relationship was doing it in their mind before they did it with their body. Watching porn is cheating in your mind. It is wrong.

Question to some of the answerers: But what if the porn you're watching is a dirty movie you and your partner made? Therefore can it be spiritual adultery, because you're married to the person in it? x

It depends on what you are watching it for.
You could be lusting looking at an R rated movie
or Desperate House wives. Also lusting at a commercial
Chippy108. There's porn in magazines, such as
GQ, Cosmos etc. It seems everyone has their own
line to draw where they think porn starts. Do Christians
watch TV and read magazines? Well I guess we
are committing a sin.
