Every person in this world wishes they were someone else or more important or different in some way, so don't feel left out. Everyone feels lost and little at times, too. Change your thought pattern. How a person thinks is who they are and thoughts turn into actions. Start your day every morning loving yourself. Give yourself a compliment everyday. This will help your self-confidence which will in turn help you to develop ways in which you can improve your quality of life. Finding little things that you enjoy to do will also make you a happier person. If you are only spending your time working and worrying, you are not taking time for you. Not to sound too much like Oprah, but you have to put YOU on your list of things to do everyday. Hope this helps...

Well sweetie, you sure arent giving us much info but I have been in a couple ruts before, heres what I did. Stood up on my feet, brushed myself off [you can get a bit dusty in some ruts] got me a job that I didnt get depressed going to. Saved me a bit of money, bought me a newspaper, and looked for something that I could afford, onetime it was just a room until I met some new friends and they helped me find something better.I just had to
have faith in myself that I could make it out here by myself. I had to get out of my rut.And ya know what I did after I took care of all that? I went and had me a nice cold beer. You take care hon, things will definitly get better.

Admitting your powerless over this situation may be a start. Living life a day at a time is helpful. Making small plans or conquering small objectives turn into big victories. Of coarse praying and trusting that the Lord knows what going on and whats best. Sometimes the worst of times bring the best of times. I guess I'm saying just be patient, and keep on pressing on. God Bless

It starts with change. Make everyday different than what you are doing now. If you get up late get up early. Make a list of things you would like to accomplish and hang it where you will see it everyday. Do you want a new job put it on there. Are you in an Unhealthy relationship put it on there. Get up and do things for yourself...excersing increases chemicals in your brain that cause you to feel better, so try that. Also just remember everything passes, and if you want a change you need to start within.

When I'm in a funk I go around and do something good for other people without them knowing it. The thinking and planning takes some time and who it is you plan to do it for takes time. You may bake some cookies and leave them on the door knob. Toss a delivered news paper closer to thier door. It's up to you and what small things you can think of to do.
Pretty soon you see all kinds of things you can do. You start thinking on that project and your blues go away.

First you have to determine that you are going to do something to
change the situation. Until your mind is made up you are going to
stall. It takes changes and many people are afraid of change. Once you start tho, the ball is rolling and once started you are out
of the rut. Get moving!

Buy a motorcycle.

They are life-changing - nothing compares to cruising along the highway, winding through the mountains, and being able to see everything.

When you drive a car you are watching a movie - when you ride a bike, you are IN the movie.

Just watch out for cars - best bet is to pretend to be invisible, or better yet - pretend like they are trying to hit you.

mix it up
take some community college course that require activities
go dancing
go to shooting range
make your own stuff(like booze)
have a drive
buy a bike
build a bike
get into accident on purpose(don't do this though, but it will definitely get you out of the rut).

I'm in one of those :D I don't have a dead-end job and no license. I'm about to go into college and unable to really do anything. I refuse to go back to my summer job though, so I'm depending heavily on getting my license these next couple of months or I'll probably not make it. good luck though
