I am glad you know you are saved.
As for the reference to John 3:13, that is talking about ascending into heaven.
When your body dies and your spirit goes to heaven, that is not ascending into heaven.
Remember 2Corinthians 5:8;
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Don't let these guys shake your faith.
Can you believe it?
This is a R&S forum, and no one wants to accept your experience.
I am glad you made the choice.

Why do people insist on jumping from one scripture from one book in the bible to another ?
In order to really Understand a scripture, in any source of scriptures, a person must read the verse in the context of not only the entire chapter, but the entire book.
The Scriptures, in any holy book(s), are not meant to be used by us to go into to pick and choose certain verses in order to give insight, and convey a sermon, statements of Truth.
As People grow spiritually, not remain as babes requiring mere milk, they will learn to read a verse, yes in the context of the chapter, but especially in the context of the entire Book, in order to have a True Understanding AND to gain true spiritual insight AND Wisdom.
You are learning though.
It should be all of our goals to be as humbly teachable as possible. This is really how we learn Wisdom, Patience, and Tolerance.
Have a nice day to all reading this.
And never give up, keep reading scriptures
in the context of the chapter and book - with a humble teachable attitude, knowing that we honestly do not know much yet.

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.

Yeah, there's a difference between what you believe in and actual truth, see?
Just telling somebody about the content of your holy book isn't likely to change their minds (a god who tortures his nonfollowers? how more evil can a person get?)
