I've had maybe 3 cold sores in my life. I have one now and i really dont want to pass it on to my boyfriend. I havent kissed him or anything since it came, but if he drinks from my cup or shares a spoon with me is he going to catch it? If somehow he did catch it, how soon would we know?

Cold sores are actually relatively difficult to pass on ... I've kissed my husband when I had one and he didn't get it, but his 'immune system' was 'fine' at that time. BUY SOME ABREVA and use it according to directions, and just 'be careful' and tell him NOT to drink from your cup or eat from your spoon until your cold sore goes away. Tell him you simply don't want him to get a cold sore, and that you really do love him ... he should 'survive' just fine until you are better, or he's not 'worth' your caring for him to begin with.

Yes if he drinks from your cup or eats off your spoon he will catch it. It is contagious which you already knew so that means wash your hands anytime they are near your lips/face, don't kiss anyone and don't share utensils. Do not have oral sex.

Extremely easy. My mom was the only one who had it to begin with, but then gave it to me, my dad, and my two brothers.
