...but on top of a tall building was a platform with 3 trap doors with a clear path to the street. Somebody you care for is standing on one of the doors. Upon picking up the cure, 1 of the 3 doors will open. Taking the cure, and giving it to a doctor or scientist (or whatever) would be for the greater good of all men, but someone you care about a great deal is on one of the doors. What do you do?
I will compare my answer with the winner - I already know what I would do.

thinking about losing one whom i love deeply would be heartbreaking however i'd like to think i would be strong enough, wise enough, and have enough faith to go ahead with getting the cure to the world. i can not imagine living with the guilt either way but my answer is yes, i would take the risk and get the cure and trust my loved ones would forgive me.

Considering the fact that possibly -at least -one of the other 2 people (hypthetically) not going through the trapped doors may be saved by my getting the cure for cancer not to mention the kazillions of others in the world, i would take the cure and make sure that each of the 3 people on the platform knew that i loved them. I'D SAY A PRAYER and then I'd 'pick up the cure' ... because I trust God to make sure that the door that opens is NOT the one my 'love' is standing on ... or if he is standing on that door, then I'd still 'pick up the cure' because CANCER is a bad thing, but I believe in Heaven and believe that I will see my 'true love' there and be with him the same way we are together now.

And if my loved one was the go through the door, I would go too.
