Love does not mean the same. Ecumenical is to focus on what we share in common -- love of the poor and service to the poor; agreement that war for its own sake is evil; the fight against secularism....its to use our common ground to see where we might come into deeper agreement about our common beliefs. For example, the Luther Church and Catholic church finally agree that we are NOT saved by works BUT that our faith in Christ and love for Him MUST result in our doing good works to demonstrate our love for him. (Faith without works is quite dead). We must express our faith....not just talk about it!

I believe the Ecumenical movement has something to do with mixing different religions and it is not a good idea. Baptists, Catholics, Methodists and other religions have differences in what they believe. Some of those differences may be minor differences. Others may be major. How can you mix them if some of their beliefs contradict each other? Yes, we are supposed to love everyone, but someone who has decided what he believes will go to a church that believes like he believes and this would not be hate. It's common sense.

Ecumenical movement = bowel movement ! Here's the correct movement you should be making: Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion. Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free! Love and Believe in Our Creator; Love and Believe in Yourself. "religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any other being with Spiritual intelligence. Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

Ecumenism is a sign of the end times and will be used by the anti-Christ to deceive many.

Peace!
We can stop bashing each other. Why do some Christian denominations in this section attack Catholics? Why can't Fundamentalists, Seventh Day Adventists, Born Again groups, Baptists, Mormons, and other Christian denominations just say what they believe in?
