I can understand appreciation, a nod, perhaps a 'wow, thank you, that was really great'....but not suddenly dropping down to the ground and bowing like a biatch saying 'oh great god, pity me, i am not worthy'

I'm worthy baby

I would say your attitude comes from the original sin.....PRIDE....which is what satan tempted Adam and Eve with, telling them that they can be equal to God.
Bowing down to God is a choice, a form of worship and respect and honor. It is not forced upon anyone. I love God because He first loved me. All that God does is ultimately out of His eternal love for us. He is a great God, and He alone is WORTHY of all praise and worship. You live on this great creation that He gave you and live the free life that He gave you and honestly, I view your "nod" or "wow, thank you" as a slap in the face. But, I am not like God, only He can know the intent of your heart and can measure your gratitude. Look into who God really is and what His Son Jesus did for all mankind before you measure your WORTHINESS compared to theirs.
God is Great!!!!!!!!!

Bow down= make yourself humble
A natural response to the one you find worthy of your love.
I see no reason why one cannot be proud of this behavior.

It would be inappropriate to confront a superior with too much pride.
A humble attitude is not one that is obnoxious either.
It is simply not so "full of oneself".

Because some of us are trying to live a life of humility and honestly acknowledge that we are not capable of living without His assistance. Humility is the path to getting the grace needed to succeed at this life.

He is a perfect God who cannot be around us in our sinful state, but in His Amazing Grace He sent His Son to die in our place, pay the penalty for our sins. How can you not fall on your face in gratefulness at that act of love? Pride comes before a fall.

Right. I think it's called humility. And the sin you are refering to is pride. That is why you would not bow to a superior power. It doesn't mean that you become it's slave. It's just that you acknoledge its superiority.

You are only worthy if God deems you worthy.

He hasn't made up His mind on anyone yet.
