Well mine has been doing that for almost a week and half straight now and I cant seem to stop it. I've heard it can be caused by stress or lack of sleep neither of which I think that I am suffering from. Any suggestions?

Dude! I got your answer! This started happening to me in the fifth grade and has continue to occur on and off for my entire life. I eat healthy, very healthy, exercise, all of it. After years of asking myself the pattern, it always seems to happen after i spend long periods of time under fluorescent light, the kinds they use in offices and schools. These light are very energy effecient, but not natural, and if you are subjected to them for long periods of time, your eyes begin to twitch, but usually only one. I have found that going outside and getting natural light coupled with shutting the lights off at home earlier in the evening has totally resolved my problem. I also use a halogen lamp at home if i really need some light in the night.

try this for a few days.

My lower eye was twitching for a little over a week I went to a Dr. and they said something about stress and sleep both of which I thought I was doing ok with. Then they suggested Botox injections. I did nothing and eventually the went away and I haven't had them since 2yrs.

Consider the possibility of a vitamin deficiency. I had a similar non-stressy twitch in college and realized it was because my diet was horrid (living on coffee and captain crunch cereal for a couple of weeks). Try upping you fruits and vegs (aim for 5 servings a day if you can) and taking a multivitamin once a day. If you don't see an improvement within a couple of days, check in with you doctor so he or she can rule out any neurological disorders. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

I have had that too and the eye doctor insisted it was nothing more than stress. It almost drove me insane but one day it just stopped.

All I can really suggest is to be patient. Sorry :-(

Eye irritation, high levels of calcium, etc. If you are worried go see a doctor to have it checked out.
