No! Tuna has a high percentage of mercury and we should have no more than two cans per week.Try to cut down on your tuna or purchase it online from the Alaskan waters where there is less mercury. Purchasing low mercury tuna is very pricey ,about four dollars a can. The other alternative is sardines or anchovies as they do not have any mercury due to their small size.
Most fish has mercury however the larger the fish (tuna) the more mercury.

Also never consume swordfish as it has the highest level of mercury.
So remember 2 can per week is the max for tuna. I know how you feel----I love tuna also!

So long as you get the kind that's in water, and not oil...... And dolphin safe...... SeaFood is so good for you!!! Tuna, is a very healthy source of vitamin E, and may even have the same vitamin's salmon has in it...... We ate tuna almost everyday, when we were kids!! And we're all just fine, so I wouldn't worry that there's any kinds of danger in it!! They said for awhile that there was Murcery in tuna, but dont you think those tuna companies cleaned house, when all of those people panicked and quit buying there product, for awhile!!! Beleive me, when they get bad ratings , thats when they either have to take it off the market, or the Manufacturer's have to do something about it, right away too!!! Or they'd have the "Health Department" breathing down there necks, all the time, until they are forced to either quit selling there product, or clean it up!!! So, you should be safe!!! Enjoy, and Happy Eating to you!!! Smile!!!

Yuo need to look at the amount of mercury compared to your body weight. That is what would make it ok or not ok. I eat tuna about 4 times a week- in pitas, on toast, in tortillas, on crackers... you name it; and I think I'm ok.

I also eat tuna a lot for lunch. (I can't open up a can of tuna at home, my husband thinks it smells like cat food!)

Tuna is great for you. Just make sure you're eating it on a whole grain bread.
