Why do so many people take it upon themselves to say that how I or another believe is wrong? Do they even know? Fact of the matter is no one knows FOR SURE what the truth is. Everyone is entitled to believe what they feel is right for them, especially if it is a belief that does not harm others. If the Christian God (come the 'end' of time) is the only belief that humanity should have had I am certain He will forgive those who sought to find something that was right to them and lived their lives positively. God is not as unforgiving as some make Him out to be.

Clarification: I want people to tell me what they think gives them a right to judge others who may not share their beliefs? I like a challenge, I just don't like that others are saying straight up that hey what you believe is wrong and I have a right to judge you for it.........

I always thought on my judgement day if i said:

"God, you more than anyone should know that man is not to be trusted. Man told me to worship you, but then the same men had false idols (money, sex, etc.) so i didn't know that I could believe them. Many men claimed to have your word, but those words contradicted each other, how was I to know."

i think he'd be all:

"Yeah man screws up on a daily basis, you believe in me now:

Me:

"seeing is believing"

God:

"Keg's on the left, welcome to heaven"

The word of God is the truth...

1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

Psalms 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

Because God's truth the only truth and is out there and has been for centuries, and there are people who choose not to heed to it or obey it, and worshiped other gods because inspite of it. there is no forivness for it.

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

Judges 10:13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.

Are you going to just continue to sin and go against the true word of God and at the eleventh hour when you see that you were wrong, then decide to tell God "oops! I was wrong" simply because you finally saw with your eyes what you should have always believed in your heart. But now there's a problem with that...

You waited until the eleventh hour to finally see God's truth, but He showed up at 10:45 figuratively speaking. Pal, you missed the boat by your own choosing. The true word of God is right here right now, and is found in the KJV Bible. There are no exuses.

You answered your own question when you said 'Fact of the matter is no one knows FOR SURE what the truth is. Everyone is entitled to believe what they feel is right for them, especially if it is a belief that does not harm others.'

People who dismiss others' beliefs are narrow minded and foolish, do not allow them to put you down. However, it is always good to have your faith challenged.

Nobody really knows what God wants out of us, only he can tell you. I believe the Bible was written by others and most of God's true intention or meaning was not known or documented. The bible is like a poem or a Shakespearean play, only those who wrote them will truly know what their intentions were.
For people to force us to believe that their interpretation is the only correct one is wrong. Everyone sees things differently and unless they have personally talked to God, the poet or writer nobody really knows the true meaning or what they wanted us know.
I believe God has a purpose for everyone and once you have completed the journey he has set out for you, only then will you know his true intention.

If you blatetly chose not to follow God, and say he was a liar, and he didnt exist, do you really think he would want you in heaven so you can continue to believe that?

You have a whole lifetime to make up your mind about whether or not God exists, and whether or not he is worth your devotion. God is loving and kind, but he is also jealous and doesnt want us putting other things above him. (Pleasures, money, sex, drugs etc). You will get punished if you disobey.

JD I have a very good question for you. It is like gambling....say you are gambling with the truth, and you do not know which to place your bet on- Ok so say that those who believe there is no god, are right...so fine, we all die and nothing happens because there is no afterlife. Ok so say those who believe in reincarnation are right- ok fine, so we all die and come back as a tree or cat, whatever....BUT say we who are born again christians are right, and that the Lord Jesus is the only way to Heaven and that His death and resurrection were true, and that eternal life is only in Him, that sin is serious and needs forgiveness...and that there is a heaven and a hell. Ok, so we all die....and then? Are you willing to bet there is no heaven or hell? Are you willing to risk that? For apart from Jesus Christ one cannot know the truth- and I say this because I am very rooted and grounded in knowing that Jesus is the truth. And I care about others, and want them to know they do need Him, very much! That His love exceeds the love of any- for He gave His life for us, and wants us to believe in Him and repent of sin, so we can have the kingdom of Heaven, for sin separates man from God for eternity....

and the verse chopper quoted, YES! Good verse- John 8:32

Good point my friend,

the 11th article of faith Of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

people believe whatever they want fine with me, I just hate it when I tell a Christian this they try and change my beliefs. I had a morman stop me on the street and the only way to get rid of him was to threaten him. I didn't like it but he would not leave me alone.

Your ideas conflict with the Bible. So if the Bible is the inspired word of of God. He will judge those who do not believe.

(John 8:32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

There can be only one truth

(John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
