Are you talking about online courses that are taught at your current university or are you talking about attending an online university? Both are very difficult and require a lot of self discipline and a lot of work. You have to make the time for them and keep up with the papers and board postings that are required. You cannot get behind or you will never catch up. If you are talking about attending an online university, make sure they are accredited nationally by the same accrediting agencies that regular campus based universities are accredited by. Kaplan university is a good one. Online courses are not easy, but they do allow you a lot more freedom plus you don't have to get up early or dress up or go anywhere.

I think outdoor courses are a lot better. I mean, anyone can click the mouse a couple times but it takes real skill to swing a club and drive the golfball through all different conditions. The lies are so much more realistic on real outdoor course than any game could online could provide. Plus there no money in mastering an online golf game or some of the courses, but outdoors you can get on the PGA Tour and win become a multi-millionare like Tiger Woods

outdoor all the way

I've taken a few and I really liked them. It depends on your work ethic I think. Alot of reading and online communication with professors and other online students is involved.

If you are American, I do not suggest university of phoenix. They charge too much and the professors are not very good. Also, they make you work in teams in every class. So hard to do and such a pain when your only contact is via internet. You never know what kind of loser you will get stuck with on your team. My hubby took one class with them and turned in a horrible team paper.... the professor said it was the best she ever read. With them, its basically you pay and you get the grade.

I went through the University of Maryland(European Div). The courses are longer(13-15 weeks), but the professors I had were great. And the prices were half those of UOP. There are many other universities that offer online courses.... but again I say do not go univerisity of phoenix.

I think they can be good, and obviously convenient.

One thing I will say is....if you can afford to choose a local college that offers online courses, it's always better and more respected since you can actually visit the school in person, if you want.

If not, choose an online program of a university that has a physical presence. Of course, the better school will be more prestigious, but also more expensive.

I heard it comes with a little more work, and your work does need to be more accurate, especially fill in the blanks on assignments graded by a computer. I love taking my online courses. It is very convienient. Make sure you are organized and set out certain hours a day to get things accomplished! Also, make sure you know if the class is fully independent, or if you need to take tests at a center (inconvienent) and if you have certain deadlines for each assignment! Hope this helps!

They can be an excellent alternative to having to go to class 2-3 times a week. I personally do not like them because I need the stimulation and feed back of a real teacher, and I tend to procrastinate when taking online classes.

I'm thinking of doing a post-grad course in journalism. I think they're a good idea as u get to earn and do the course at the same time. You can basically work at ur own pace.

365 Learning's online classes are all developed using best practices in online pedagogy, but having a class officially certified by QM is an impressive accomplishment, and a product of a positive thought.
