Man created God in Man's own image. Man created a God that ressembled man, a God with all humanly qualities plus some conditioned sense of almighty. It was, and is, a God that created and preferred a kind of (semitic) people and gave that people the order to wander westward and to populate the Earth and take possession of the Promised Land. This is the impression that can be given by the Bible. But there may be a kind of transcendental meaning in all this that is not up to you to fetch. Not yet. Maybe never. No?

Simple. When God made man in his image, Genesis 2:7 states that he formed man's body from the elements of the earth (and the body entirely composed of the same elements as the earth), breathed into His own spirit, and man became a living soul. That means he had a mind, will and emotions.

Man was created to interface with three different "realms". His body touches the physical realm and is bound by its rules and limitations. His soul touches the mental realm, and is not limited by physical rules, but is limited in its abilities to directly affect physical objects. The third, the spirit, touches the spiritual realm in which God resides and uses the rules of that realm (called faith).

Just as God exist as three "person" (Father in the spirit realm, Jesus the Son in the physical realm, and the Holy Spirit in the soul/heart realm) each working in a different realm, so man is three "person" each touching a different realm. But together form a single "person".

God is spirit. When Jesus the so of God came to earth He was born In a Jewish body. But God created all people and color doesn't matter. The most important thing to know is that God is love. Without love you have nothing. Anger and hate are from Satan who is the enemy of God. God has given us all a choice though. Either Choose God and Love so you can really live and be blessed. Not just in this life but for all of eternity. Or you can choose to follow satan and die and live in eternal torment. The choice is yours. God put His word (The bible) here for everyone to read and learn. If you really seek after God with a sincere heart you will find Him and when you really experience God and His love you'll never leave Him. While the world was so full of sin and death God sent his one and only son to Be whipped and tormented and die on the cross for our sins. All we have to do is ask Jesus to come into our life and be our Lord and Savior and to forgive us of our sins and we are saved. It's not a religion but a relationship with God. This is what's really important. Not the color. You first have to realize your a sinner in need of a savior. If you want to go to a really great church in SI, NY go to Faith international christian church off Victory Blvd. One block down from Manor road.

God is of Jewish decent. Jesus is God! The Bible makes it perfectly clear!

The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. Psalm 14:1

Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. 1 John 3:15

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." Revelation 21:8

"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" Mark 1:15

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

God is an invisible essence, incomprehensible to man. The image that we are created in is that invisible essence, the soul. It has nothing to do with the physical since God is not physical.

The physical is barely what you believe it to be anyway. The body, like everything is made of atoms. The spacial relationship between the nucleus of the atom and its electron is like this: imagine a pencil eraser in the middle of a football field and a pin point at one end of the football field. Lots of space in between two miniscule objects right? Uh oh! Those aren't even objects, they are not solid, they are only tendencies. So what does that do to the concept of physicality suddenly. It reduces it to the level of ILLUSION.

Image does not refer to physical image. It refers to the inner components (like a computer image) or the essence.

We are created in the image of God, that we are body mind and spirit like He is (3 in one)

SPIRITUAL IMAGE! Not bodily image. We have spirits. The spirit we are born with is the spirit of life -- when God breathed into our nostrils, and we became alive.

Our spirit is enjoined with the Holy Spirit when we accept Christ, therefore, God lives in us.

That is the image of God. Because we are in Him and He in us.
