Because men somehow were born thinking they are the centers of the universe and that they can submit to every impulse they have and not face any consequences for it. An honorable man would not cheat, and if he did, he certainly wouldn't lie about it. Men have a LONG way to go evolutionwise! They're just overgrown 2 year olds.
