Hatton to me seemed to start out in great shape but after round five it looked to me that he was satisfied with doing just enough to win the match. Do you think his performance was impressive enough to win the American fans over? Castillo's performance looked poor eeking out a split decision. Is Castillo getting shop worn? Will they still make the forthcoming Hatton/ Castillo fight?

I think you nailed the bit about the Hatton fight, i think he had it in him to stop Urango if he wanted too, but i think he took a couple of nice shots from the Colombian in around the 4th or 5th and then thought to himself that he knew he could win quite easily on points if he wanted too, so chose that option, i would have to say i think it must of been a money motivated decision, i think he could see the big money fights against Castillo and possibly Mayweather slipping away if he took many more of those big shots from Urango, it was quite surprising for me to see because Ricky only usually knows how to fight one way and that is offensively, i think Hatton and Billy Graham made a concious decision to tie Urango up so he couldnt get his shots off knowing that Castillo was just round the corner. I think if Castillo had lost that razor thin decision you may well of seen a different fight from Hatton, (a toe to toe war). To be fair i know it wasnt the great performance i was looking for but he still won 11 out of the 12 rounds on all 3 judges cards, so i cant really moan about it too much, but i promise you, you will see the true Ricky Hatton soon, he will win the American public over, whether it be the Castillo fight or fights that come after that one, eventually you will all warm to him.
I think the Castillo fight was close as well down to the opponent being a bit better than he was given credit for before the fight, i watched the tape of his previous fight and i already had it in my mind that he might be a tough opponent because of how awkward he looked and that proved to be the case. Im just glad he came through it at least we have a chance to see Hatton Vs Castillo which should be a great fight.

hatton had enough to take out urango but hes trainers told him to just hug since hatton was ahead and wanted to secure the fight for june against castillo.but having a dance fest with urango defently didnt win the american boxing fans including me. we like to see a real sluf fest and hatton didnt do that. thats why mayweather aint so popular since hes just a dancer with boxing skills even though hes the number one pound for pound. hes just boring to watch like hes last fight wiht baldo. this next fight with castillo should be a good one though. castillo has the mean hook to the liver that will trouble hatton for sure.castillo is in desperate need of money since hes fine adn will sure put on a performance

I thoght catillo lost the fight, but they gave it to him anyway just so him and hatten can fight next. So they dont lose out on the big payday that will recieve. Hatton was doing real well in the beginning, until that guy went to his body that round. he was strong I think hurt ricky a little. Hatton knew he couldnt match power with him and did not want to get hit by him. So he had to change his style of fight. Which is what you have to do. A good fighter adjusts to the fight so he can win. If he continued to brawl with him and got knocked out, it would have hurt his career.

I noticed Hatton really got nailed with some body punches at one point. I think he neutralized his opponent and maybe made him not look as good as he actually was. It turned out to be a boring fight, but I have more respect for Hatton after watching it. He's not the one dimensional fighter I thought he was, but he probably won't win a lot of other fans with that performance.

Castillo didn't look great against his opponent who was in good shape and threw sharper punches, but I think it was reasonable to have him winning the fight.

I think it might be a good fight between the two. I would see it as a showcase for Hatton, and I would favor him to win. So, I think they will probably make the fight.

i could say this one ought to be 50/50 if it is going the way i see it going, i think of this one is gonna be a slugfest, i cant anticipate this one, i purely wanna see a conflict, i purely desire neither boxer receives injury and we've an all time classic to look lower back at in two decades time. C'mon Ricky. Addition I agree he would be placed to the try to that i think of it is what Ricky needs he needs to work out how good he's purely too, via utilising Castillo as a yardstick he could desire to have the skill to verify. additionally i think of you will see what he's made from, win or lose he's familiar with he is going to could desire to placed all of it on the line against a genuine warrior, yet I even have each and every faith in my guy, C'mon Ricky.
