I can understand that terrible feeling of rage, so I empathize with what you're going through.

One of the first things to address when dealing with rage and anger is to try and figure out what is triggering these emotions. The most common triggers are fear, feeling helpless or hopeless, inability to notice inner stress levels, events that trigger past traumas and unresolved traumas.

Behavioral and cognitive therapy is probably the best ways to treat this because it gets to the core of why you're feeling this rage and teaches techniques on anger management and ways to control stress at the same time. As you said, those feelings are still inside you and you need to work on ways to find healthier coping skills and ways to de-stress before you reach the melt down point.

Find a therapist who works in cognitive or behavioral therapy and see what they have to offer. Best of luck to you...take care.

There are many treatments available. An anger management group may be helpful to controlling these impulses and getting rid of them. i would also suggest some Cognitive-behavioral Therapy. It may be worth finding what causes these feelings to arise in the first palce, or at least the triggers for them. Then you cna work on getting rid off them. Good luck.

It is healthy to find an outlet, usually a sport or activity, I did boxing. I also had a friend who did crafts, making necklaces and stuff that worked for her. Find something you really enjoy, working-out etc. and go from there.
