go to my computer>c:// or whather letter ur using for your hard drive>right click on it select properties>a new window will pop-up go under the Tools tab>click on error checking >Check Now>click automatically fix file system errors and scan for attempt of recovering of bad sectors then scan and it should fix the problem

Need more information please. Are you sure all the fans on your computer are working. How old is it. When did this start happening. Try blowing out your system with a can of comressed air (do this outside, make sure to unplug everything, cable wise, not on the inside). What os are you running (xp, win98, win me, etc)?

Barbara, if YOU keep freezing up, there's something wrong with YOU... not your computer. Try turning on the central heat!

Are you talking about virus scan, or error scan?
