Mary blood line in Luke?

Question

now correct me if i am wrong. but didn't god promise David that his lineage would always be on the throne of Israel? so that would mean that Davids lines would all be sons would it not? so how could Mary come from David or Judah ?

The lineage goes all the way back to Adam, in the lineage record of Mary. Just like you are a branch on two trees, your mom and your dad, they are a branch on their mom and dad's tree, making you the lower branch off their tree.

Jospeh and Mary both are from the lineage of David. Read Joseph lineage in Matthew, Mary's in Luke's. Perfection came when Jesus was born. ;O)
