Been off sick since last Wednesday, went to Drs today and they said get a self certificate for first week. When do I go back to work then, assuming I'm better?

Your back to work wednesday (7 days ) on a self certification, unless you get another one from the doctor to cover you there after.

self certification is for the first 7 days there after a doctor must give you one.

it's until it says on your sick note, i think it's normally one week?
go back on Tuesday if you're still ill, the dcotor should advise you when to go back or he can extend the expiry note (up to 3 months I think)
