is a persn supposed to know right from the start that someone you're dating is 'the one'? Or can you date for a couple of years before you actually decide?

This is rather questionable, but i am sure you already know this, i am in a relationship which lasts for over six years now, and i have been asking that same question every single day, and i still don't know the answer. I have a feeling, a very strange one, that we have turned into friends, rather than lovers...I have no idea whether this is a habit or a true feeling of love!? I am certainly not sure if he is the one. It depends on a set of things that are important to you. What is it that you find most significant in a relationship? Perhaps you could help me out...?

I think it's different for everyone.. It's called infatuation when you 'know' from the start that they are the one. You have to invest energy and time into a relationship. What if you thought they were The One when you first met them then after time they turned into an abusive person?? Would you still believe they were the one??

I personally think you know after a few years when you have lived together and know each other annoying habits and can accept them. There is so much to find out about a person before you know they are the one!!

To get to know a person takes time. In my opinion, people know relatively soon whether they want to continue to get to know someone or, it's just not there. But...to make a lifelong commitment, everyone must figure that out at their own pace. Good luck.

Love at first sight exsists, I'm sure. But a good way to 'know' is to imagine yourself married to the person...if you can imagine yourself with them forever, they are the one.

it depends on you as a person for some people its love at first sight for some it takes time but if he was the one you wouldnt have to ask this question...
