Glacier National Park in Montana. The views are amazing.

Use byways.org to identify the roads that have been designated as "scenic" by the federal government. This way you can enjoy the views before you even arrive at your destination.

I live in Hot Springs, AR, the whole town is a National Park. It is nestled in the mountains, and we have three lakes. Come visit sometime.

Valley Forge Park, in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania

It also has Washington Memorial Chapel with all of the wood carvings of soldiers inside, so beautiful, and yet totally supported by donations.
