I read one time about a man who wrote to the local paper's classified ads saying that his boss was having an open house at 6 AM Saturday morning.
His boss loved to sleep in on Saturdays and wasn't planning on selling his house.

I love this one... You'll need yourself and an accomplice.
1. You take a fake mouse and put it on a clear fishing line.
2. Place it behind a wall or piece of furniture.
3. Run the string across an open space like a doorway.
4. Have your accomplice hide across from where the mouse is staged.
5. When your victim gets ready to go toward the doorway, jerk the string to launch the mouse across the floor. (You may need to cough as a sign to your string puller.)
People jump like screaming school girls. I've seen 300 pound guys go running out of rooms hollering.
